Cleo Wade is an artist, poet and #1 New York Times bestselling author. Her work centers on hope, resilience, and the power of love. She has written seven books, including Heart Talk, Where to Begin, What the Road Said, Remember Love, and May You Love and Be Loved. Her newest book is called In a World of Sunrises: 365 Days of Heart, Soul, and Hope.
Cleo is a dedicated advocate for women’s health, civil rights, and community empowerment. She believes in democracy, free press, free speech, and neighborly kindness. She has created art and messaging for two Democratic presidential campaigns and has been invited to speak at the White House, the United Nations, Harvard University, The National Museum of African American History and Culture, SXSW, and TED.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Cleo now resides in California with her partner, Simon, and their three daughters, Memphis, Bayou, and Magnolia.
